INTRODUCTION

SAFE PASSAGE is a 2005 model Grand Banks 64 Aleutian RP with a three stateroom, three head layout plus 4th cabin or crew cabin. She features optional Caterpillar C-30 1550’s which achieve a comfortable 20 knot high cruise speed. She has two generators, Naiad Stabilizers and many mechanical options/upgrades. The audio/video entertainment equipment has been upgraded to surround sound systems in the main salon and the master cabin. All staterooms have individual sound system controls. Throughout the interior is high-gloss teak, custom décor appointments, beautiful granite & marble stonework with mini-mosaic shower tiles and upgraded exotic stone throughout the lower decks, custom leather wall panels, frosted glass skylight and teak & holly floors. There is an interior staircase from the pilothouse to access the flybridge, custom pilothouse Freeman doors to both port and starboard and a large covered aft deck with built-in seating. SAFE PASSAGE is truly a STUNNING yacht!

ACCOMMODATIONS

Enter the salon from the aft deck to find an L-shaped custom-built settee covered in Cream/Sand colored Ultraleather to port and two comfortable custom chairs to starboard. The salon table is oval with a varnished top, inlay and custom stainless pedestal base. Almost every aspect of the décor has been updated and the resulting impression is that the boat is nearly new in appearance. She is fresh and clean throughout. There is a 45″ Vizio flatscreen TV on a lift with multi-channel surround sound system which is custom built into a teak entertainment cabinet. On the starboard side is a bar-style cabinet with glass/bottle storage and icemaker. There are several bookshelves and display cabinets forward as well as a dedicated location for entertainment equipment. Custom wool carpet is laid on top of the solid teak and holly sole. The windows have both blinds and curtains. The doors are custom Freeman double-wide sliding doors which are linked to open as one large door. The cockpit is on the same level as the salon which creates a very expansive and open feeling connecting the inside and outside all on one level.

Going forward to the U-shaped galley to port, there is plentiful preparation space on her tan and silver colored granite countertops. There are four Sub-Zero refrigeration drawers to starboard, two Sub-Zero freezer drawers to port, 4-burner Miele cooktop facing forward, sink overlooking the window outboard, and Miele appliances. Abundant storage is available in overhead lockers both forward and aft, as well as drawers and cabinets. There is a staircase in the aft starboard end of the pilothouse which provides very easy direct interior access to the flybridge.

Just forward of the galley is the Pilothouse with Freeman doors both port and starboard for easy side deck access, a Dark Blue STIDD helmseat, matching leather console with a complete electronics package and to port a removable custom dinette with two comfortable bench seats covered in Ultraleather. The dinette table is a classic yacht-style folding table with leaves on the forward and aft ends. The dinette has a custom built-in teak settee forward facing aft with navigation storage above. The aft end of the dinette is built with a custom polished stainless steel hinge and folds down when not in use so that people can come and go from the port optional side Pilothouse doorway. The starboard door is immediately aft of the direct inside access to the flybridge and the staircase leading to the lower accommodations.

As you reach the bottom of the curved teak staircase going below you are greeted with a generous landing. This area is one of the special features designed into this Grand Banks 64 Aleutian. The landing leads to the expansive 3rd guest stateroom or office and has easy access to the day head as well as the private head for this cabin. There is a triple sliding pocket door which closes off this landing area and converts to an excellent third cabin leaving just one panel of the door for access. The desk folds against the aft bulkhead and the couch can be set up as either a large single berth or as a large queen-sized berth along the port hull side. The doors are designed to set into a fixed position and then the one slider allows people to come and go from the room as a stateroom. This third stateroom also has a television, DVD and iPOD connection as well as an intercom for the desk. This execution is exceptional and the converted space truly works well as both a spacious landing as well as a large private stateroom.

The companionway stretches forward to the VIP guest stateroom with a queen island berth, custom marble shelves and custom entertainment center with television and stereo/DVD. There is en suite head with a stall shower, again custom Ice Blue marble countertops and custom teak cabinetry.

Going aft to the full-beam master stateroom, you find a king-size bed with nightstands, walk-in closet and custom matching cabinets both port and starboard. All cabinets have custom marble countertops. The windows feature linen blinds. There is a custom entertainment center with household component stereo, CD/DVD connectivity. There is an en suite head with custom marble countertops and a shower with a custom marble bench. The berth is surrounded by curved teak walls and curved cabinetry nightstands on both sides of the berth. There is a custom chair rail along the forward bulkhead which is satin varnished teak below the rail and leather of a matching saddle color on the walls above the rail. The chest of drawers on both sides of the cabin are stacked and have a beautiful curved front as well as the custom Ice Blue marble used throughout the Yacht. Polished stainless steel oversized port lights are mounted into the hull above each of these cabinets to provide natural light, ventilation and more. There is a hidden safe in the walk-in hanging locker which is also cedar-lined.

Walking aft to port into the en suite master head are custom glass handle faucet fixtures, more of the bright marble, as well as a sink and plenty of storage cabinets in the vanity. The shower has a tiny marble mosaic of Ice Blue tiles slowly transitioning to a very subtle Aqua hue. There is a comfortable marble seat in the shower and a bi-fold glass door. Engine room access as well as emergency exit from the master is through a custom door in the aft bulkhead of the shower. Just forward of the master is a companionway locker with stacked full-size separate household washing machine and dryer units.

EXTERIOR EQUIPMENT

The swim platform has an integral swim ladder and comfortable curved fiberglass staircases to both port and starboard. The large custom transom door leads directly from the platform into the 4th cabin/crew’s quarters for private access. There are stainless steel and white paneled rail gates between the cockpit and the swim platform boarding area. The settee cushions are recently upgraded and the custom teak cockpit table is large enough to accommodate dining for eight. There is also a custom frosted glass skylight mounted into the center settee providing natural light to the 4th cabin below. The cockpit itself is very spacious and covered by the full fiberglass bridge extension with lighting. A stainless steel ladder to access the bridge directly from the cockpit is located forward to port.

The wide walkaround side decks have teak decking throughout with oversized oval stainless steel railings, side gates with doors and just two steps up to the Portuguese bridge. There is plentiful storage along the front of the Portuguese bridge and double doors swing open to the large foredeck. Forward of the Portuguese bridge are two large settees with cushions facing the bow with storage underneath and dorade boxes providing air flow into the below decks accommodations. Windlass controls for the oversized Lofrans windlass which has all chain and plow anchor, as well as a clutch-operated electric winch back-up anchor. Two adjacent storage lockers compliment the pulpit with washdown and line/fender storage.

FLYBRIDGE

The Flybridge is accessed from a ladder at the aft deck or from a staircase inside the Pilothouse with an oversized, watertight stainless steel deck hatch. There are 2 L-settees with 2 fixed tables positioned aft of the helm station. The helm station has 2 STIDD helmseats, full console, chart table with storage. The hardtop enclosure has clear glass panels on all sides and there are large covered sidedecks as well. Aft end of the hardtop is the grill, refrigerator and locker storage station. Aft end of the flybridge are the oversized stainless steel crane, dinghy mount and locker-style storage.
